I’m 17 years old, standing on a stage in Chicago hearing my name called over a microphone after the words “Our National Champion…” They pronounced my name incorrectly, but that didn’t matter. I had just been named one of the top high school competitive speakers in the country.
Ever since then, I’ve been helping people communicate. That meant editing friends’ term papers and being the “presentation guy” in group projects in college. It means volunteering as a speech coach at a local high school. It meant choosing Public Relations as a major at Boston University. Now, I’m pursuing fields where people need the most help communicating: social media and emerging technology.
